Cabin slumber parties.

Benny's cabin at Wolff Mountain.

I never thought after our trip to Lake Powell 4 years ago, I'd come out with life long friends. So glad the boys of the summer invited both sets of their girlfriends so we could all meet and not hang out with them anymore :)

This was the highlight of the night. A few of our friends decided to go on a late night hike, while they were gone the rest of us planned a little prank. JP pretended her head was stuck in between the rails and when they got back she was crying (fake crying) while I was trying to pull her head out (with some butter) and Tim was sawing at the rail (not really). But they thought so. We are good. They totally bought it.

Baking some pizza and munchin on junk food. Where is Sandy? Asleep. Like always, she's a sleepy grandma sanderson.

I hope I'm not making you dizzy.

Family trips to Disneyland are my favorite. Especially riding the tea cups which are always a must. I found this video of my mom, little sister Whitnie, and I and it made me laugh. It reminds me of all of our road trips and how much fun we have just being dorks and laughing. Which is precisely why they are my favorite.

This was such a fun trip because it was my nieces first time going to Disneyland. Not only that but it was my brother in laws first time as well. He had never even seen the ocean before this trip. It was like seeing a 5 year old boy in a 26 year old body. We went to Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, and even the Santa Monica Pier which was a first for all of us. We dined at a couple of my personal favorite restuarants which are Johnny Rockets, and Bubba Gumps. Yum.

Recycled. Redesigned.

I can now cross off "walk down a runway" from my list of things I want to do before I die. My amazingly talented friend Sandy was part of designing costumes for a fashion show. The purpose was to design outfits made from recycled material for all the different decades. The decades she designed for were the 1940s and 1950s. My dress (1950s) is made out of recycled ties, and her dress (1940s) is made out of a recycled table cloth her mom not so willingly gave up. Although I must say my most favorite dress was the 1990s dress made out of old computer parts. Very cool.

Vacant House + Empty Silo = Scary Fun

Why is it that guys LOVE to take girls to things like scary movies, haunted houses, etc, etc? Even more importantly why do I always agree to go!? We found this one out by Utah Lake and we had about a 2 mile walk in the middle of no where to get to it. Super creepy. The house had all its windows shattered, a big barn in the back, and a very tall empty silo. It was "Texas Chainsaw" style. We begin to walk through the house, and took a few photos when we all heard someone in the basement. Pretty sure there was a bum downstairs so we bailed, and headed to the back yard. That is where we began our climb. It was a pretty cool experience climbing up the silo, although I don't think I could have done it without the words of encouragement coming from the good man Sean beneath me. :)
If you look closely you can see our feet.

Besties.
