I can now cross off "walk down a runway" from my list of things I want to do before I die. My amazingly talented friend Sandy was part of designing costumes for a fashion show. The purpose was to design outfits made from recycled material for all the different decades. The decades she designed for were the 1940s and 1950s. My dress (1950s) is made out of recycled ties, and her dress (1940s) is made out of a recycled table cloth her mom not so willingly gave up. Although I must say my most favorite dress was the 1990s dress made out of old computer parts. Very cool.

These outfits are amazing! What a fabulous idea to use hand-me-downs, to create new and funky additions to your wardrobe! I wish I had your talent to sew and create!
